An additional LED shines through a red acrylic rod that is flush on the front face of the walnut base. There is a coin battery holder on the back with an on\/off switch. A small part from a vintage camera adorns the front and also helps hold the copper box in place. This contains a small coin battery holder with and an on\/off switch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEmbedded into this cast are three purple acrylic rods (held together with copper wire) and I've actually embedded three, long, soft-white, 'filament' LEDs into the resin. The LEDs are soldered together on brass wire — the wire is exposed on the back of the cast where I can connect to the battery. The back (flat side) of the hemisphere has numerous divots carved into to the surface.
