Vendor, 2018

Vintage camera parts, found objects, plastic toys, acrylic plastic, fiber-resin board, plywood.
13 x 13 x 5.5 inches

Vendor started with a pile of old, small, 25-cent-machine toys of mine that appeared while rummaging through the closet. I have always known they were in there, but I had never weighed their value against the 30 some years I have held on to them. Along with a few swap meet and yard sale finds, some of those plastic toys ended up where they should be. It is extremely revitalizing knowing I did hold on to them for a reason. The central module in this piece is part of a 35mm lens cast in a resin dome. The heart, lung, and brain assemblages contain many pieces all screwed and wired to a fiber-board backing. The organ modules are surrounded and protected by acrylic domes.
