Illuminated Snowflake Ornament 

Laser-cut and aluminum and acrylic, CR2032 battery holder, snowflake led, resistor, solder, hardware

I designed the form and the mechanisms in this first ornament design. I finish, solder, and assembled each ornament by hand. I ran a time test on 20 ornament builds start to finish — each ornament takes 50 minutes on average to build. The aluminum ribs and acrylic disc in the center were outsourced to a laser cutter. For the newest run of these ornaments,, I'm sandblasting the 6 outer ribs on each piece and have modified a few items around the soldering and center plate. Check back in the fall for an entirely new ornament design!
