Ganymede is one of a number octopuses created within the Mech-Fossil series but this is the first octopus not cast in urethane. Within the head of the octopus is a large vacuum tube. The eyes are represented by small blue and yellow potentiometers. The arms are made from various ferrules, resistors and capacitor shells. The webbing is a soldered matrix of small film capacitors.

• Base is signed underneath and has an embossed signature label.
