Found objects (vintage camera, watch and electro-mechanical parts), pressure-cast urethane resin, mdc, birch plywood, acrylic dome, hardware. 

This framed beetle is not cast, it rests on a support under a 3 inch diameter acrylic dome. Delicate pieces like this go through a few extra steps and tests before mounting to ensure the best I can that they handle shipping and handling. The resin I use in most Mech-Fossil pieces is the ultimate 'glue' that holds all the small parts, appendages, ribs, etc. in place — I continue to explore other ways to secure found objects without damaging their natural patinas to continue making pieces outside of resin too.
