This is the first Mech-Fossil with a working, embedded, red LED light as its lure. There is a small coin battery holder with a tiny on/off switch mounted on the back. I cast the white back pieces first; when I finished building the fish with LED and wires, I dirlled a 1.5mm hole through the white back and ran the wires through to the back. Embedding LED lights of various types usually works fine with this urethane resin despite curing temperatures up to 230º F and pressures up to 60psi. However, if this red LED burns out, it cannot be replaced! I've added a larger-than-necessary resistor underneath the battery holder to keep the red LED running cooler than normal. I recommend not running the LED for extended period of time to avoid heat buildup. I'm testing various cavity techniques to make future LEDs replaceable, but I want to see everyone's interest first!

• There is a custom-made aluminum key-hole hanger on the back that is screwed to the cast, this allows the cast to float away from the wall when hung.

• There may be slight surface imperfections on all casts including small surface bubbles or curved edges. If other notable blemishes exist on the face, I'll highlight with a red circle in the images.
• The cast creature is susceptible to fingerprints, clean with a small amount of window cleaner and a soft cloth.
• Keep out of direct sunlight or high-emitting UV lights.
• Avoid extreme temperatures and rapid temperature variations.
